
Introducing Rabbi Dr. Bernhard H. Rosenberg
A distinguished Jewish educator, author, and communal leader whose life’s work has been dedicated to Holocaust education, Jewish continuity, and spiritual leadership.
Rabbi Rosenberg served as the rabbi of Congregation Beth-El in Edison, New Jersey, where he is now Rabbi Emeritus. A graduate of Yeshiva University, he holds Rabbinic Ordination and a Doctorate in Education, as well as several additional academic degrees in communication and education. He has also received an honorary Doctorate of Divinity from the Jewish Theological Seminary.

Deeply committed to Holocaust remembrance, Rabbi Rosenberg is the author of several books on the subject—among them Theological and Halachic Reflections on the Holocaust—and has been active in Holocaust curriculum development and community programming. He serves on the New Jersey State Holocaust Commission and chairs the Holocaust Commission of the New York Board of Rabbis.
His work in chaplaincy during and after 9/11 led to his receiving the “Chaplain of the Year” Award from the New York Board of Rabbis. Rabbi Rosenberg has been a frequent lecturer, media guest, and advocate for strengthening Jewish identity, Jewish education, and the transmission of memory to future generations. His voice continues to guide discussions on faith, resilience, and the responsibility to “remember and never forget.”
